Who controls your data

Money Tips Money Hacks is the data controller. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@5daymoneychallenges.com.

Categories of personal data we collect

  • Account data — email address, and name if you provide one via Google sign-in.
  • Challenge data — the challenges you start, days you complete, amounts and notes you enter, and your currency and timezone preferences.
  • Purchase data — records of challenges you have bought, including the payment identifiers, amount, and currency returned to us by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
  • Communication data — daily reminder preferences and delivery records for emails we send you.
  • Technical data — basic log and error information generated when you use the service.

How we use it

To provide your account and challenges, record progress and purchases, send the daily reminder emails you have enabled, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your challenge entries for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record and payment processor, which handles checkout, payments, invoices, taxes, and refunds.
  • Our hosting and database provider — stores your account and challenge data so the service can run.
  • Our email provider — delivers reminder and account emails.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

Retention

We keep account and challenge data for as long as your account exists. Purchase and tax records are retained for the period required by law. Delete your account by emailing us and we will remove your personal data, except records we must keep.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within the time required by law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your currency choice, and run checkout securely. We do not use advertising cookies.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
